Fontenay-Le-Comte, Vendée, France: Norbert Dentressangle has a contract with French supermarket chain Système U Ouest. Système U Ouest is one of four regional operating divisions of French co-operative group, Système U.
It operates 400 stores in Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Poitou-Charentes, Limousin and Centre regions under the Hyper U, Super U, U Express and Useful brands.
Norbert Dentressangle will manage the 30,000sq metre chilled logistics hub the retailer plans to build in Fontenay-Le-Comte and which is expected to operate from September 2013.
Stéphane Point, managing director, Norbert Dentressangle’s French logistics business said: “We are delighted to be working with Système U on a project of this scale. Our teams are poised for the challenge of turning this fresh food hub into a sector benchmark in terms of operating efficiency, quality of service and respect for the environment.”
