Chalcroft sees 25% jump in turnover

Kings Lynn, UK: An expansion into the Midlands has helped construction firm Chalcroft, which builds temperature-controlled warehouses, boost its turnover by more than 25%.

Chalcroft says continued “increased market activity” at its Birmingham office – opened in 2014 – is behind a rise in turnover from £44.8m to £56.7m, according to an article in the Eastern Daily Press.

The company also saw its pre-tax profit almost double from £363,800 to £644,200 for the year ending June 30, 2016.

Chalcroft forecasts greater sales for the year ending June 2017, with a forward order book worth £50m already secured.

Based on Campbells Business Park in King’s Lynn, the company’s construction and refurbishment portfolio includes warehouses and temperature-controlled sites.
