Chiltern’s new ambient warehouse opens soon

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK: Chiltern Cold Storage has posted pictures on its website of its new ambient warehouse which is close to completion.

Peterborough was identified as a location for future expansion when Chiltern moved to the site in 2002. The company initially decided to lease an existing warehouse for ambient storage within close proximity instead of undergoing the disruption and cost of construction. However, it eventually decided that a larger on-site ambient warehouse would be instrumental in supporting the company’s growth.

The new warehouse, which should be operational this month, will have the capacity for 3,500 pallets. This major expansion to the existing 13,000 frozen and 1,500 chilled pallet spaces already on the site will create a multi- temperature facility to cater for the growing needs of our customers.
