Lenham Storage gains BRC accreditation

Lenham, Kent, UK: Shared-user distribution firm Lenham Storage, which operates over 65,000 square metres of ambient and temperature-controlled warehousing, has gained accreditation from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) for the storage and distribution it provides to the grocery sector.

BRC staff undertook a thorough inspection of Lenham’s premises, processes and distribution systems before awarding the certificate – and the company’s performance will now be audited on an ongoing basis.

Lenham Storage managing director Keith Abrehart says: “We are very proud, after more than two years of effort and a great deal of financial investment, to have obtained the BRC Standard in Storage and Distribution. This is a rare accolade for a third-party and shared-user service provider and it’s already been extremely well received by our customers.”

Lenham Storage provides warehousing and shared-user transport services to Britain’s biggest retailers. The family-owned company operates a fleet of 260 trucks and trailers to deliver foods, beverages and other fast-moving consumer goods products nationwide.

The company’s main site is in the village of Lenham, Kent. It also has a second site in Andover.
