Marigold Health Foods adds a Daf with Carrier Iceland fridge

Marigold Health Foods has added a new Daf LF 18-tonner with Carrier’s Iceland system

London, UK: Marigold Health Foods has added a new Daf LF 18-tonner with Carrier Transicold’s Iceland system.

The Iceland undermount system, powered by the truck engine, was recommended by leasing provider Petit Forestier.

“As a major distributor of natural and organic products, improving the sustainability of our logistics operation is of primary importance,” said Joel Clancy, logistics manager, Marigold Health Foods.

“The Iceland system has made an instant and positive impact, reducing our carbon dioxide emissions and making this the quietest truck in our fleet, which reduces the risk of disturbance in residential areas.”

Marigold Health Foods will use the vehicle primarily or deliveries in London. The Daf expands Marigold’s seven-strong fleet to meet business growth. It offers a 15-pallet load capacity, meeting the needs for larger, chilled multi-drop deliveries, and joins a fleet which is all Carrier-cooled.

Supplied on a five-year contract from Petit Forestier, it will operate from Marigold’s headquarters in Tottenham and will also be used for the occasional delivery to Oxford, Brighton and the south coast.
