A new name in pharma freight

Paris, France: TransPharma International is a new name in international freight for the healthcare industry.

TransPharma International was formed from Movianto, acquired a year ago by the Walden Group, a €1.4bn turnover family-owned that provides logistics and transport for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

“Walden’s growth in its markets has led it to invest in strengthening its international offer and the group has extensive experience in temperature-controlled transport and logistics in line with good distribution practices,” the company said.

“With a global offer including in-house management of customs and trade services, a road network of more than 3,000 vehicles, cross border express services and air & sea freight forwarding, TransPharma International brings together elements of several of the group’s historical players – Eurotranspharma, Movianto, CSP – into a centrally managed business unit,” Walden said in a statement.

The move allows Walden to strengthen its one-stop-shop offer for the end to end healthcare supply chain, Walden said.

David Evans, head of TransPharma International

David Evans, who heads the new business unit, said: “The creation of TransPharma International is a great opportunity to provide a better answer to Walden clients in terms of global freight and transportation services.
“We benefit from a strong experience from other companies in the group whom trust us to ensure continuity in their previous activities and we will focus on adding new value by investing in reliable and powerful IT solutions to improve our services quality and security.”
