Arctic Express takes two new vans

Northampton, UK: Arctic Express Global has added two Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans to its eight vehicle fleet.

The vans, acquired with a three-year deal with MC Rental, were converted by Paneltex to provide twin refrigerated compartments, and will carry high-value pharmaceutical loads. Thermo King V300 Spectrum fridges provide cooling.

The twin compartment refrigerated bodies provide +2° C to +8° C, and +15° C to +25° C, in either the front or the rear compartments.

Both vehicles have Transcan 2 temperature monitoring and trackers from Seven Telematics, as well as deadlocks on all doors and front and rear facing cameras for security.

Byron Wingrove, director, Arctic Express Global, said: “We exclusively use MC Rental for all our temperature-controlled vehicles as they understand our business really well and provide us with a very responsive service and excellent backup, which is vital when you are carrying such important pharmaceutical products.”

“MC has worked closely with us to develop a top-quality vehicle specification that is perfectly suited to our business and the whole MC team has given us first class service at all times.”

MC Rental has supplied all the pharmaceutical specification vehicles operated by Arctic Express Global. All equipment is temperature mapped and calibrated in line with MHRA and GDP compliance requirements.
