Daf XFs for Gist

Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, Scotland: Gist has ordered 16 Daf XF105 tractor units for its refrigeration network in Scotland. The vehicles join Gist’s 1500 European vehicle fleet and will operate from Gist’s recently acquired Bellshill site and deliver refrigerated goods in the UK and France.

The 6X2 twin-steer tractors use Paccar’s 460hp 12.9-litre Euro 5 engine and DAF’s 12-speed AS-Tronic automated gearbox and have Super Space cabs.

Sam de Beaux, engineering director, Gist, said Gist specified Super Space cabs for driver comfort. This option increases the height of the cab by 370mm and provides additional room for bunk beds.
