DHL teams up with active cool container specialist CSafe

Ohio, US: DHL Global Forwarding is expanding its temperature-controlled service with a lease agreement with CSafe.

CSafe provides containers for temperature-sensitive airfreight and expands DHL customer choice of container.

“We are the first European-based freight forwarder to sign this type of leasing agreement with CSafe thus expanding our services for Life Sciences customers and leveraging our leadership role in the market,” says Laura Ackermann, global head life sciences operations, air freight, DHL Global Forwarding.

CSafe launched its heat-and-cool container in 2008.  During flight the temperature is maintained within the range +4°C to +25°C using rechargeable batteries.
