Eddie Stobart – bigger brand than BT and Shell

Carlisle, UK:  Eddie Stobart is now a superbrand, officially outranking the Royal Mail, BT and oil giants BP and Shell. According to the latest Business Superbrand survey, Eddie Stobart has risen from 27th place last year to take the 15th place.

This means the haulier now outranks Mastercard, Blackberry and O2.  Chief executive Andrew Tinkler said: “This year’s ranking marks a fantastic achievement for the Eddie Stobart brand. Superbrands are selected based on quality, reliability and distinction, so to be elevated to this level, ahead of many globally-recognised brands, demonstrates the core values that Eddie Stobart is famous for.”

Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the Superbrands Expert Council, said: “A truly super business brand exudes success, quality and innovation. It is a huge achievement that Eddie Stobart has made the official top 500 list for 2012, as the Business Superbrands poll is the definitive list of the strongest business brands today.
