Envirotainer joins forces with TTL Active in India

New Delhi, India: Swedish Envirotainer, a global name in the cold chain industry, has teamed up with Chennai-based TTL Active to target the Indian market.

Envirotainer’s healthcare sales director, Stephen Maietta, said India had always been an important country from a business perspective.

He said Envirotainer wants to expand its capabilities in the Asia Pacific region, starting with India, as the country is an important manufacturing market.

He said Envirotainer’s entry would help, particularly in the healthcare sector, as the company has the necessary technology to transport medicines.

He said the healthcare and life sciences industry in the country was growing at around 14% annually.

The chairman and managing director of TTL Active Cold Chain Solutions, Arun Vasu, stressed that around 20% of temperature-sensitive healthcare products are rendered useless during transport due to a weak cold chain in the country.

He said the partnership with Envirotainer could bring the best freight infrastructure and air transport technology to India to complete the chain.

“The cold chain market in India has been growing consistently and has huge potential to grow in the near future, especially since now it has strong government backing,” he added.
