Alexandria, VA, US: The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) has signed a service partnership agreement with Cascade Energy.
Energy usage is among the highest costs a refrigerated warehouse facility can incur annually, averaging 12% of total operating expense. It is also the top unmanaged cost in the refrigerated warehouse industry.
Since 1993, Cascade has provided energy efficiency consulting services to the cold chain industry. The new program is geared toward the needs of refrigerated warehousing and logistics companies that are GCCA members.
Cascade’s team of experts will be available to answer members’ questions about energy use, author reports and articles, contribute to educational programming, speak at GCCA events, and provide a new technical manual on refrigeration best practices. Cascade can also assist in developing and managing corporate energy management programs geared specifically to refrigerated warehouses.
