Gist is the new name for Van Dongen, Soonius and Peeman

Guildford, UK: Gist is the new business name for the Dutch supply chain brands Van Dongen, Soonius and Peeman Transport.

Gist is re-branding its Dutch-based businesses this month to consolidate its brand as a single entity, in place of the separate brand names it currently promotes.

Gist’s decision to move to one brand across Europe is intended to reduce confusion over the many existing sub-brands and to promote its larger, value adding supply chain expertise, the comopany says.

Martin Gwynn, chief executive, Gist, says: “The move to one Gist brand is an exciting change; it will reinforce to our customers and the industry as a whole the value and expertise we offer throughout the supply chain. Although business in each area will continue as usual, we anticipate this move will deliver further value for our existing and future customers.”

Gist, owned by Linde Group, provides supply chain operations for major retailers and manages global end-to-end supply chains for fresh produce, flowers and plants. The business specialises in managing time and temperature-sensitive products.
