Global Cold Chain Alliance Launches Online Training Library

Washington, DC, US: The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) has launched a new online training library, targeting the needs of the cold chain industry.

Some 80 online courses in safety management, human resources compliance, and other operational best practices are available to warehouse operators, transport providers, contractors and suppliers.

Each of the courses has been vetted and approved by a committee of cold chain executives and delivers individualised training that can be accessed on-demand at www.gcca.org/training. By allowing students to work at their own pace and review material as many times as needed, the online training increases knowledge retention.

“This year, GCCA is launching a new initiative to foster a culture of safety in the industry,” says GCCA president and chief executive Bill Hudson. “Our goal is to make safety synonymous with public refrigerated warehousing. Online training is a powerful new resource for members and will play a key role in the safety initiative.”

The library includes 43 courses related to worker safety and food safety and also 36 courses in human resources and personnel management.
