Guatemala cold chain operations course

Guatemala City, Guatemala: The Global Cold Chain Alliance is to host the first International Course on Cold Chain Operations in Guatemala City.

The course, which is being held in Guatemala City on 14 – 15 November at the Clarion Suites Hotel, will bring together local and international experts who will share their knowledge and experience in different fundamental operations on the cold chain.

The objective is to provide an overview of the cold chain in the food industry: its importance, sensitivity, and special requirements for perishable products.  The course, designed for industries that handle, transport or store perishable products, will cover the main aspects of the cold chain that should be addressed to ensure a safe, efficient and financially sound work environment.

The curriculum will provide attendees the opportunity to refine the techniques and procedures in their own warehouses and transport departments. The speakers are national and international cold chain experts with years of experience in their respective areas.
