Home delivery by Paneltex at the CV Show

Birmngham, UK:  Home delivery and urban transport is the theme of the Paneltex stand with three new temperature-controlled bodies on its stand. A new 11.4m, twin axle, dual compartment urban trailer with a self-tracking rear axle will be displayed.

The trailer has a Dearman undermount fridge with dual evaporators and a zero-emission nitrogen expansion engine. The trailer also features double rear doors that can swing out 270°, a fast actuation air curtain and a two-part ‘stow-in-the-roof’ bulkhead system.

The second vehicle on the Paneltex stand is a Ford Transit for the home delivery market. The Paneltex side-loading refrigerated home delivery body has low access height that eliminates the need for a side step. This triple compartment body gives ambient, chilled and frozen store in a single body with a lightweight Paneltex GRP-moulded door frame.

The vehicle also has the Paneltex GRP-moulded air deflector for improved refrigeration performance and aerodynamics, while the driver-friendly central locking system for the body doors works on the original Ford Transit key fob.

A Paneltex Somers van conversion on a medium wheelbase, high roof VW Crafter chassis cab completes the line up. With a GAH SRD351F refrigeration system, this dual temperature body has compartments for both frozen and chilled goods, featuring an insulated side door for the front chilled compartment. For the rear frozen compartment, the body has the Somers SuperFreeze modular rear doors.
