IARW names Top 25 largest refrigerated warehouse operators

Alexandria, VA, US: The International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) has released its annual IARW Global Top 25 List of the public refrigerated warehouses with the greatest capacity of warehouse space in the world.

Accompanying the Global Top 25 is the IARW North American Top 25 List.

The Global Top 25 currently operate 91.6 million cubic meters (3.2 billion cubic feet), which is a 1.7% increase from 2012. The North American Top 25 currently operate 77.13 million cubic meters (2.72 billion cubic feet) – a 4.9% increase from 2012.

“We are proud of the continued growth and strength of our industry,” say Corey Rosenbusch, IARW president. “All IARW warehouse members, including those companies listed on our top 25 lists, are committed to meeting the changing and expanding needs of the temperature-controlled industry.”

The combined space of IARW total membership, including the Global Top 25 and North American Top 25 members, accounts for 118 million cubic meters (4.17 billion cubic feet), which is a 3.5% increase in membership space since the list was last released in May 2012.

IARW has members in 65 countries around the world. The Global Top 25 list includes companies with facilities in Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Poland, Sri Lanka, Sweden, United States, and Vietnam.

A complete listing of all IARW Members can be found in the 2013-2014 Global Cold Chain Directory, which is available online at www.gcca.org/directory. This easy-to-use guide connects manufacturers, distributors and retailers to an international selection of companies specializing in refrigerated warehousing and logistics.
