Intelleflex partners with DeltaTrak for environmental monitoring

Santa Clara, CA, US: Intelleflex, in partnership with DeltaTrak will extend its family of cold chain solutions for the food, pharmaceutical and processing industries by offering the Intelleflex XC3 technology-based tags and readers under the DeltaTrak brand.

XC3 Technology readers and tags deliver on-demand data visibility for tracking and monitoring the temperature and condition of temperature-sensitive products, such as food and pharmaceuticals.

Products can be monitored and managed throughout the cold chain without requiring unloading of pallets or opening of containers, while also addressing government and industry regulations for traceability, safety and quality.

Under the terms of the agreement, DeltaTrak will offer XC3 Technology-based fixed, cellular and handheld readers and TMT-8500 temperature monitoring tags to customers throughout the world.

DeltaTRAK will also incorporate Intelleflex’s recently announced ZEST Data Services into its solution offerings. The addition of these new products enable DeltaTrak “to provide the most comprehensive suite of environmental-monitoring solutions available in the market,” says Intelleflex.

“Having actionable data available about the temperature and condition of products, on demand, is critical for improving operations and minimizing losses throughout the global supply chain,” the company says.

“Each year over $35bn worth of food is lost due to waste and shrink in the supply chain, with half of that amount attributed to temperature management issues.  Temperature issues also play a huge role in the pharmaceutical supply chain, with an estimated value of $5.4bn in losses of perishable pharmaceuticals annually.”

“Comprehensive temperature monitoring and management solutions can help minimize these losses, making more food available for sale and helping to ensure the efficacy and quality of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.”

Frederick Wu, president and chief executive, DeltaTrak, says: “The importance of food safety, brand protection, and compliance with new and future regulations has never been greater than it is today.”

“The partnership of DeltaTRAK and Intelleflex makes it possible for us to integrate modern XC3 Technology RFID products into DeltaTRAK’s applications and solutions for our customers.”
