Intelsius expands in South Korea

Seoul, South Korea: Intelsius, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of temperature-controlled and regulatory-compliant packaging solutions, is expanding in South Korea by joining forces with BioCore.

“South Korea is an important strategic opportunity for Intelsius, our partnership with BioCore as the exclusive distributor of our solutions will allow us to better ensure patient safety in this growing pharma market,” says David Walsh, chief executive, Intelsius.

“The partnership enables Intelsius to meet the increasing demand for temperature-control and regulatory compliant packaging systems for the life science sector in this region.”

“There are more clinical trials going on in South Korea than in any other country in East Asia estimated at more than 3,100,” says Hyung-Sik Choie, chief executive of BioCore.

“Our partnership with Intelsius will have an immediate impact on the accuracy of those trials and more importantly, it will enhance the safety of the patients participating.”

Experts predict that the growth in cold chain spending over the next three years will be highest in Asia, according to the Cold-Chain Biopharma Logistics Sourcebook 2011.
