London, UK: JJ Foodservice has taken on a dozen vans to support its growing direct-to-consumer businesses in London.
Head of operations at JJ Foodservice, Sedat Kaan Hendekli, said, “Our new smaller vehicles are more urban-friendly, helping our drivers to navigate narrow residential streets and cul-de-sacs.”
The company’s next-day home delivery service and same-day service for London have attracted more than 30,000 new customers.
JJ Food Service was founded in 1988 by restaurateur Mustafa Kiamil at a 270sq metre warehouse in Hornsey, North London. The company operates delivery hubs in Basingstoke, Bristol, Doncaster, Leeds, Manchester and Sidcup.
JJ Food Service fits GAH EX703 fridges on its larger rigids and GAH SRF351 fridges on its home delivery vans. JJ Foods operates some 160 predominantly rigid trucks.
This post has been amended to state that JJ Foods fits GAH fridges and not Carrier Transicold units as originally stated. Our apologies for the error.
