Kuehne wins Agorà frozen food contract

Milan, Italy: Agorà Network has awarded a six-year contract to Kuehne plus Nagel to provide frozen warehousing and distribution operations for the retailer’s stores across northern Italy.

Kuehne will handle inbound frozen food, storage and order preparation at its 12,000sq metre multi-user, temperature-controlled (-28°C) facility in Casorate Primo. The contract includes road distribution to serve Agorà’s 200 stores, that include brands such as Iperal, Tigros and Poli in northern Italy. The distribution centre will handle approximately 1,6m cases a year.

The agreement extends Kuehne’s services to Agorà that began in 2007 with Kuehne managing a 45,000sq metre ambient food warehouse for Agorà in Brignano Gera d’Adda, east of Milan.
