Kühlmann takes Kögel Cool trailers

Rietberg, Germany: German food products supplier, Heinrich Kühlmann, has ordered five premium all-purpose refrigerated trailers from Kögel.

Kühlmann uses these trailers to transport delicatessen salads, antipasti and convenience products for retail and wholesale markets.

The trailers have low-noise aluminium floors, welded aluminium floor pans for easier cleaning. The floor pans also prevent moisture from penetrating the load-bearing structures, which significantly increases the service life and cost-effectiveness of the trailer, Kogel says.

The trailer also fulfils the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) requirements for safeguarding consumer health with regard to temperature-controlled food transports in international goods traffic.

Kögel premium all-purpose refrigerated boxes can have a range of individual options to suit operator needs. Kühlmann requested aluminium rails for multi-level loading built directly into the walls and protected with foam padding.

The 12 aluminium rails allow for multi-level loading on each side wall, with 33 euro pallets on the floor and 22 corresponding pallet carriers on the second level doubling the load capacity.

The front wall and the evaporator are prtotected with Kögel’s impact bulkhead. The bulkhead consists of individual aluminium V-profiles, and is and easy to dismantle for cleaning, Kogel says.

Other optional equipment includes a temperature recorder, automatic axle lift on the first axle, a steel lamp carrier, and various LED lights.

The trailers have Kögel’s telematics. The CoolTrailer telematics package combines the PosControl, TrailerControl, EBSControl and TempControl services.
