Mode Transportation selects CSX as Rail Carrier of the Year

Dallas, TX, US: Intermodal operator, Mode Transportation, formerly Exel Transportation Services, has selected CSX Intermodal as its 2010 Rail Carrier of the Year. This is the first year that CSX Intermodal has been selected for this award, based on input from Mode Transportation’s Independent Business Owners and executive management team.

“In what was a dynamic year for the Intermodal industry, CSX Intermodal rose to the occasion to deliver unparalleled value,” said Todd Thompson, senior vice president of Mode Transportation.

“CSX Intermodal team’s sales approach was instrumental in providing workable, creative solutions to our diverse customer base throughout the year.”

CSX Corporation’s rail and intermodal businesses provide rail-based transport services including traditional rail service and transporting intermodal containers and trailers in 23 US states, the District of Columbia and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
