Montracon’s jumbo reefer

Doncaster, South Yorkshire, UK: Montracon has lifted the wraps on its jumbo refrigerated trailer designed to meet demand from operators, predominantly in the fast food and regional distribution supply sectors, for greater carrying capacity within a 13.6m overall length.

The straight frame trailer has an internal height of 3200mm and 150m3 of load space able to carry an additional 26 UK or 33 Euro pallets, or a combination of both, on removable, adjustable-height decking beams supported by strengthened side panels.
Higher capacity Carrier Transicold or Thermo King fridge units are offered as standard, with dual fuel tanks slung beneath the trailer frame as an option.

Speaking at the launch of the jumbo trailer Montracon sales and marketing director Paul Mead said: ‘The jumbo trailer fills a gap in our otherwise comprehensive refrigerated range.”

“In particular, it will appeal to operators moving fast food and supplying RDCs, a point reinforced by the fact that we have already taken our first order for 20 from a major third party logistics provider serving these sectors.” he said.
