New chief exec at Frigoblock

Essen, Germany: Axel Kahsnitz has taken over as the new chief executive of Frigoblock Grosskopf GmbH. He succeeds Peter Großkopf who handed over the chairmanship of the board of management to Kahsnitz on 1 September.

“I am pleased that in Axel Kahsnitz we have found an experienced and technically skilled company leader, who together with his management team will continue to drive the expansion course of Frigoblock Grosskopf GmbH forward,” Großkopf, says.

Großkopf controls all the company’s shares: he bought back all company shares from the previous minority shareholder. He will continue s”upporting the new management vigorously with his know-how”.

“Since 1978, Großkopf as a managing partner successfully established the company and ensured that Frigoblock, with its many innovations and developments, has been at the technological forefront for many years. For more than 40 years, Frigoblock has been the market leader for electrically powered transport refrigeration systems – also known as hybrid in the automotive sector. Here Frigoblock sets the standard, especially regarding multi-compartment systems,” the company says in a  statement.

“Axel Kahsnitz (56), graduate engineer of electronics/electrical engineering, has a founded technological know-how and years of experience in the field of company management. Previously, he was very successful as the CEO of various companies in the electronics, automotive and aerospace industries.”
