Norbert Dentressangle opens frozen and chilled store in France

Saint Georges d’Espéranche, France: Norbert Dentressangle has added to its temperature-controlled logistics business, opening a new frozen and chilled store in Saint Georges d’Espéranche to support food industry customers in south eastern France.

The multi-temperature store, located near Lyon and Vienna, provides frozen and chilled storage, bringing the total amount of capacity in the Lyon region to 72,000m³ of frozen and 6,000m3 of chilled storage. To accommodate growth in Norbert Dentressangle’s temperature-controlled business in south eastern France, the company plans to extend the new site by a further 18,000m³.

The new site will handle full and part loads with guaranteed temperature integrity and traceability throughout the supply chain. The site’s refrigeration system uses CO² gas and has facilities for the treament and recycling of water and waste.  Norbert Dentressangle operates 27 frozen and chilled sites in 10 Euroopean countries, with total storage capacity of 2,800,000m³. The company’s temperature-controlled storage and distribution business generated sales of more than €400m in 2011.
