North Bay Produce opens new cold storage warehouse

Mascoutah, IL, US: North Bay Produce, in partnership with Mid America Airport, has opened a new perishable warehouse which will help with the forward distribution of perishable produce.

The warehouse will handle domestic shipments but a very important part of the project is to facilitate the transit of fresh produce to China and other Asian customers through the airport which has been designated the “China Air Cargo Hub” in the US.

The warehouse will have the ability to fresh pack blueberries, and current plans also include a high-care production wing which will create “ready to eat” product offerings.
