RHA ex chairman awarded OBE

Weybridge, UK:  Andrew Boyle, a former chairman of the Road Haulage Association, has been awarded the OBE for services to the transport industry.

Boyle was chairman of the RHA from October 2009 until May 2011 when Richard Fry succeeded him.  Boyle runs family owned company ABE (Ledbury), set up in 1972 focusing on the agriculture and horticulture markets.

It then diversified to provide a distribution service to an expanding customer base including manufacturing, agriculture and general industry. Today, the business offers a nationwide distribution service for consignments ranging from single pallets to full loads, including a chilled and frozen transport facility, managing a modern fleet of vehicles and providing onward services into Europe and further afield.
