Schmitz UK recruits telematics expert

Warrington, UK: Christine Cullen has joined Schmitz Cargobull UK and Ireland to help operators reduce running costs by using the manufacturer’s trailer technology.

Cullen, sales manager for value added services, will guide operators to effectively use Schmitz Cargobull’s TrailerConnect, which monitors tyre condition, load temperature, and door security.

TrailerConnect an be factory-fitted on new trailers, or retrofitted to existing trailers.

Cullen, who was previously with Tracker Network, Teletrac Navman and most recently Seven Telematics, says: “Schmitz Cargobull’s technology helps reduce running costs and gives customers specific data to meet their ever changing requirements. With my background in road transport tech, I’m looking forward to helping the logistics industry upgrade their fleets to be smarter and more effective.”

More than 30,000 TrailerConnect systems currently are in use by Schmitz Cargobull customers in Europe.
