Wollerau, Switzerland: IDS Microchip, has released a RFID (Radio-frequency identification) sensory tag chip suitable for cold chain applications in pharmaceutical and health and food industries.
The SL900A tag can be applied for process control in factory automation, remote supervision and metering, recording and controlling of medication, tracking history and dynamic shelf life monitoring.
The single chip is based on the EPC Gen2 standard for supply chain purposes. It has the capability to non-invasively record, monitor, track and time-stamp sensory information of various factors including pressure, vibration, temperature and humidity.
