TOC Europe back in Rotterdam for 2020

Rotterdam, Netherlands: TOC Europe returns to Rotterdam next year from 9-11 June with a new-look programme.

So far, three main conference streams – Container Supply Chain, TECH TOC and Bulk – have been confirmed, with 12 core themes announced: Automation & Autonomous, Clean & Green, Digital Futures, Investment & Finance, Market Intelligence, People in Ports, Policy & Regulation, Port Technology, PortWatch2020, Protect Your Assets, Standardisation and Supply Chain Disruption.

All sessions will be free to attend, delivering business intelligence, practical advice and lively debate on international maritime trade and regulations, container and dry bulk shipping strategy, port development and investment, inland transport logistics and of course terminal operations.

As the pace of technology-enabled transformation continues the 2020 conference will focus on the ‘smart, secure, sustainable and safe’ agenda. Speakers and panels will explore the very latest in digitalisation, automation, autonomous vehicles, clean power and more that are starting to change the fundamentals of maritime logistics and supply chains at sea and on land.

And, with $12bn invested from January to September this year in global supply chain and logistics start-ups, according to CB Insights, TOC Europe will have an expanded focus on the emerging start-ups business landscape in maritime trade, logistics and ports.

Paul Holloway, event director, TOC Events Worldwide says: “TOC Europe 2020 is adopting a fresh new format designed to add value to the attendee and exhibitor alike. Guests to the event will have over 150 hours of ‘bite-size’ content to select from based on their areas of interest. Each session will come under one of 12 core editorial themes, meaning visitors can hand craft their own programme and plan their time more effectively.

“Selected associations and media partners are working with us to bring in new port related communities to widen the conversation and add greater footfall to the event. We have also tightened our editorial control in order to preserve the editorial integrity of the various conferences.
