Tracking telematic solutions

Birmingham, UK: Tracker has launched at the CV Show its Driving Style module, an enhancement to Tracker Fleet, created with feedback from its customers. The system promises to help fleet managers monitor overall fleet and evaluate individual driver behaviour, the company says.

“Tracker Fleet Driving Style maps historical trends, allowing fleet managers to recognise and reward improvement or offer driver training, as appropriate, helping them improve driver efficiency and safety,” the compnay says.

“Using Tracker’s black box technology, Driving Style creates a unique driver score per vehicle, based on acceleration, braking, cornering, speeding and idling.  Fleet managers can monitor all five elements or just those they want to, offering the flexibility to create a tailored solution that best meets their needs.

Driver league tables can be created for the entire fleet or for particular groups of vehicles to improve standards, safety and fleet performance.

Stephen Doran, managing director for Tracker  says, “Following feedback from our fleet customers, we are demonstrating Driving Style at the show, highlighting the benefits fleet managers can expect to enjoy. Battery powered Tracker Fleet is another exciting announcement at the show, as we continue to meet the varied needs of our customers.

“All these new developments form part of our commitment to the ongoing development of Tracker Fleet, delivering a system that helps fleet managers manage costs and look after the safety and security of drivers and their assets.

“But we must not overlook our stolen vehicle recovery offerings which have been playing a key role in protecting Commercial Vehicle owners from never seeing their vehicles – or the goods they carry – ever again.  The battle against the ‘white van thief’ is ever present, particularly as GPS Jamming continues to outwit those who choose not to benefit from the power of our very high frequency technology.”

“And if that’s not enough, we’ve got the Red Bull Racing F1 car and a fantastic competition to win tickets to Silverstone. I’m looking forward to welcoming visitors to the Tracker stand and showing them how fleet telematics can help them enhance and protect their fleet.”
