Bridgwater, UK: Temperature controlled operator Langdons is building an US$13 (£8m) depot in Redditch. It will have storage capacity for around 3,500 pallets of frozen food and 1,600 pallets of chilled food, as well as a large chilled marshalling area. The 4,645sq metre facility is due to be completed by August and replaces a rented warehouse in the area. Langdons has rented a depot in Redditch for nearly seven years and says it had “always been too small.for our requirements in the Midlands”. Langdons has depots in Bridgwater, Luton, Peterborough, Dover, Liverpool, Glasgow and Barnsley.
