New York, US: Pharmaceutical manufacturer Bristol-Myers Squibb, which has renewed its distribution contract with Yusen Logistics, says the move will lead to cost savings.
BMS co-loads products from multiple plants, as well as with other pharmaceutical manufacturers using the logistics firm’s European pharmaceutical distribution network, dubbed the “superhighway”, reports Logistics Manager.
Eric Plouffe, EMEA associate director – transport, compliance & logistics planning at BMS, says: “Yusen Logistics have proved their ability to evolve as BMS’ business requirements have changed. At the same time, they have delivered innovative solutions leading to significant cost savings.
“The superhighway provides a temperature-controlled, quality-approved secure solution which meets the ever-increasing regulatory requirements demanded by European health agencies,” adds Plouffe. “Extending our partnership will enable us to continue to derive benefits within our supply chain while also enjoying additional cost savings.”
